19th Century Anglo Indian School Oil on Canvas
A very well painted Anglo - Indian oil on canvas study of a bullock cart and figures, dating to the late 19th Century. The animals are particularly well detailed and the painting, which I haven't been able to attribute, is vibrant and brings to life this small rural scene. The canvas has been laid down on board and has possibly been cut down from a larger image as it is not perfectly rectangular. It is in good condition, commensurate with age, and I have mounted it in a gilt slip and a 19th Century frame. The image measures 13cm high by 19.5cm wide, whilst the frame is 29cm by 35cm.
