A. Carne Truro Cornish Arts & Crafts Fire Shovel
A wonderfully wrought steel fire iron, dating to circa 1920-30, manufactured by Archibald Carne of Truro, Cornwall. Typical of his work with the incurved terminal and incised decoration to the handle it is offered in good condition, commensurate with age, with a nice patina. It is unsigned, as many pieces were, but definitely from his workshop. It measures 38cm tall and 12.5cm max wide. The price includes Uk postage.
