Art Nouveau Oak & Leather Dragon Magazine Stand
A really quite stunning Art Nouveau oak magazine stand, dating to circa 1910-20, the front with large leather panel depicting a dragon amongst grape vines. The panel is beautifully embossed and retains its original colour and the oak frame is well-grained and a good colour. It was a little loose at the joints when I purchased so I have re-glued the joints and given it a good polish so it is good for another 100 years!. It measures 77.5cm tall, 55.5cm wide and 32cm deep, so is a practical size. The price includes delivery within 30 miles of Taunton.
