Art Nouveau Pewter and Cabochon Jewellery Box
An interesting Art Nouveau pewter and glass cabochon jewellery box, dating to probably the 1920-30's. Possibly English, or then again, French.
Decorated on all sides in pewter with flowers centred by variously coloured glass cabochons on a wood carcass. The interior has a pewter base lining and baize to the sides. A good large size at 24.5cm (10") by 17cm ( 6 3/4") and 8.5cm (3 1/2") high. Its condition is commensurate with age, with some slight signs of wear. The thin pewter has been folded over the base and has split on the edge there, but this is not visible from above. The price includes UK postage. Please contact me for overseas postage rates.
