Art Nouveau Plique-a-Jour Enamel Scarab Brooch
An Art Nouveau plaque-a-jour enamel brooch, set in silver, centred with a scarab. Dating to circa 1910-1920, the enamel is translucent when held to the light, most evident on the paler blue. It measures 31mm x 24mm. The condition is good, commensurate with age, albeit with some internal crackling to the enamel. Please see the photographs. The brooch will be sent in a custom jewellery box.
