Arts & Crafts Adjustable Oak Bookcase Circa 1900
A lovely practical pegged oak Arts & Crafts bookcase, dating to circa 1900, with two adjustable shelves. British in manufacture, it is constructed of substantial oak timbers and is a really useful size. The two internal shelves slide up and down the channels, being fixed in position by the pegs. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, with some age related markings, it has been refurbished and some pegs have been sympathetically replaced. It measures 118cm high, 101.5cm wide to the exterior of the pegs and 26cm deep at the foot. The shelves are 89.5cm wide by 21.5cm deep.
