Arts & Crafts Carved Oak Corner Cupboard
A stunning Arts & Crafts carved oak corner cupboard, dating to circa 1880-1900, with carved panels of heraldic and other beasts, with a central heraldic motif and the initials EB and the date 1713. Very well carved, this is a great piece. The detail is crisp and the colour is excellent! The interior is plain with a single shelf. The upper part of the cornice is hinged and reveals a shallow secret storage compartment beneath. Offered in good condition overall, commensurate with age, the lock is a replacement (it has a key), the lid of the cornice has had a repaired split that is only visible from above and the oak veneer on the lid has lifted in several places. If it is hanging on a wall at head height then these will not be visible. It measures 95cm tall and 86.5cm wide. The price includes delivery within 30 miles of Taunton.
