Arts & Crafts Copper Pail Jug Planter Cornish
A large Arts & Crafts copper pail or jug, equally useful as a planter, decorated with galleons sailing towards a setting sun and dating to circa 1900. A strong and sturdy piece it measures 36cm high to the top of the handle, 21.5cm to the lip, and 28cm diameter at the base. Offered in a fair used condition, commensurate with its age and usage, the spout has been lead soldered on and there is a grip section missing from the underside of the handle, although this isn't obvious. It is well made, attractive and probably Cornish in manufacture.
