Arts & Crafts Copper Vase Stick Umbrella Stand
A lovely craftsman hand made Arts and Crafts copper and brass vase or stick stand, dating to circa 1900-1910. Probably British (Glasgow School?) in manufacture, with a stylised geometric layout of poppy or tulip flowers in bold relief, riveted join and base. A strong and stable piece, with great visual impact, it will hold several sticks and/or umbrellas. Offered in fair condition, commensurate with age, there is some rubbing to the extremities, the copper plating has partially worn off the brass band at the top and there is a split and dents underneath the base (not visible unless turned over), most likely caused by 100 years of umbrellas and sticks! It measures 35cm tall, with the opening 16cm diameter, and the base 20cm diameter. The price includes UK postage.
