Arts & Crafts Extending Book Trough
A good practical and strong oak extending book trough, dating to circa 1910, with excellent capacity. These stronger extending book troughs have an extra foot in the centre that helps to support heavier tomes and ensure it doesn't bow, and they are hard to find. Offered in pretty good condition and colour, commensurate with age, there is a repaired break to the bottom right foot, as shown in the detail photograph, but I have restored this and isn't obvious. It measures 18cm high, 23.5cm deep an 41.8cm wide, extending to 85cm. The price includes UK postage, please contact me if further afield.
