Arts & Crafts Fivemiletown Copper Fish Tankard
A wonderful Arts & Crafts copper tankard, beautifully decorated with fish, made at the Fivemiletown Class in Ireland circa 1900. John Williams, formerly employed along with John Pearson by C R Ashbee at the Guild of Handicrafts in London, taught the pupils metalworking there. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, it is indistinctly labelled in ink to the base - see photo - and measures 17cm high, 11cm diameter at foot and 7.5cm at the rim.
