Arts & Crafts Morecambe HEC Copper Charger
A fabulous and rare large Morecambe HEC (Home Encouragement Centre) Arts & Crafts copper charger, dating to circa 1910, and probably made by Thomas Sparks, the founder. The class at Morecambe was founded by Sparks in 1900, having previously worked at Youghal in Ireland and originally at Keswick School. Beautifully made with both the large central galleon and the vibrant fish to the border crisply executed, it is stamped to Morecambe HEC lower middle. It's a lovely piece and offered in good condition, commensurate with age, albeit there is a slight dent to the lower left edge and some light marks and spots. It displays very well. It measures 53cm diameter. The price includes UK postage.
