Arts & Crafts Oak Aneroid Barometer Circa 1910
A lovely Arts & Crafts oak cased aneroid barometer, dating to circa 1910. It is nice to find a more compact elegant design with the fine tulip carving to the corners. Most seem to be of Banjo form. The oak case is well grained and a substantial thickness whilst the silvered dial has the retailers name of T B Winter and Son, 21 Grey Street, Newcastle on Tyne. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, the barometer functions correctly and the adjacent thermometer is accurate - it accurately recorded 85f whilst taking these photos in my studio!
