Arts & Crafts Oak Revolving Bookcase Tulips
A really lovely Arts & Crafts oak revolving bookcase, dating to circa 1905-10, with tulip pierced uprights in the style of Liberty & Co. A wonderful light golden oak it is constructed of well figured timbers and is a practical piece as fits a lot into a comparatively small footprint. There is a design registration number 433096 that dates to May 1904. It measures 76cm tall, 53.5cm wide and 52.5cm deep, with the shelves 21.5cm deep and 28.5cm tall (top) and 21.5cm deep and 30.5cm tall (bottom). It is offered in good condition, commensurate with age, is strong and stable and has been fully refurbished. The X form base and castors are a sympathetic replacements as the originals were missing when purchased but in any case aren't visible in use and one wavy base plinth may be a replacement but again not visible.
