Arts & Crafts Oak Rush Seat Childs Rocking Chair
A sweet little Arts & Crafts oak rocking chair, dating to circa 1900, with rush seat and inlaid vignette of a child fishing. This may be part of the Liberty Children's nursery series but there were plenty of other good firms out there producing at this time. Equally suited for Mr Ted or a visiting grandchild it is offered in good condition, commensurate with age, with solid joints. There is a little shrinkage to the lower stretcher to the back and the rush is a little worn in parts but not in need of re-rushing. It measures 64.5cm high, 38.5cm wide and 50cm deep at the base rocker. The price includes UK postage.
