Arts & Crafts Oak Single Wardrobe c1910

Arts & Crafts Oak Single Wardrobe c1910
A lovely Arts and Crafts single wardrobe with a useful fitted base drawer below. Made of well figured oak and dating to circa 1910 it has its original copper handles and a lovely applied flower motif to the canted corners. Offered in pretty good condition, commensurate with age, there are some signs of use but overall an attractive and practical piece. The mirror plate has some very slight ghosting, but not really noticeable, and easily rectified if necessary with replacement mirror plate. The latch opens the door by twisting the ring handle but the lock has no key. I have removed the reflection from the mirror as I don't think that I would add very much to the photograph by being in it! It measures 190.5cm high, 94cm wide and 50cm deep at the cornice. The main body is 83.5cm wide and 45.5cm deep. The internal measurements are 80cm wide and 41cm deep max, allowing for the canted sides. There are 3 hanging hooks on the back panel and a more recent rail from side to side.
