Arts & Crafts Pewter & Enamel Plaque c1925
A Roundhead Pewter plate, decorated with 4 circular blue enamel bosses, dating to circa 1925. Roundhead Pewter was the trademark of Samuel Groves of Birmingham who are registered as working between 1922 and 1950. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, it has an age related patina to the pewter that has a couple of surface losses to the inner part of the rim. These would disappear if it was re-polished back to its original silver colour. The enamels are bright and vibrant with a couple of minor firing flaws. It measures 22.5cm diameter.
