Arts & Crafts Pewter Box J Green Ex Artificers Guild
An interesting Arts and Crafts square pewter box, dating to circa 1930. The legs are white metal and I think silver, although it is not assayed. Stamped for the maker JHG for John Green - who, like George Green, his brother, used to work for The Artificers Guild. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, it is well made and wood lined, measuring 10cm square, 11.2cm wide at the foot and a total of 7.5cm high. The hinges have been replaced.
