Arts & Crafts Silver & Enamel Pearl Brooch
A stunning English Arts & Crafts silver and enamel brooch in the form of angels wings with a central Mother of Pearl and a fresh water pearl dropper. The brooch is in good condition commensurate with age and at some point in the past as had the original C ring for the clasp replaced with a brass one. (This is quite common as brass is much stronger than silver.) It does not detract from the overall quality of the brooch and actually makes it more secure to wear. The brooch dates from circa 1900 and measures 31.8mm wide and 36.5mm from the top of the wings to the base of the dropper. It weighs 8.1g. The enamel is in good condition but on inspection under a loupe it shows that it has been restored in the past - this has no detrimental effect to the overall quality and look of this attractive brooch and can not been seen with the naked eye. It is unmarked and tests as silver. It will be sent in a custom made Levels Antiques presentation box.
