Arts & Crafts Silver & Jade Circular Box Rathbone
A lovely quality Arts & Crafts circular silver box, dating to circa 1900-1920, with cabochon nephrite jade finial and gilt interior. Unmarked but testing as silver it is well made and a good weight at 118 grams. When I purchased it the vendor suggested it could be by Richard Llewellyn Rathbone but that is only their attribution. Whoever it was had a good eye for design and great skill! It is in good condition overall, commensurate with age, with a build up of tarnish within the decoration and it measures 7.2cm diameter and 3.7cm tall at the highest point.
