Arts & Crafts Walter Crane Faerie Queene Print
Held as one of the most beautiful works of the late 19th century arts and crafts movement, Walter Cranes lavishly illustrated edition of Edmund Spensers masterpiece Faerie Queene was printed in a limited run of 1,000 copies and published by George Unwin in 1897. It was produced on unbleached hand made Arnold paper in 6 separate paper volumes. I was able to purchase two damaged volumes, from which these engravings have come. Offered in good condition, they are framed and glazed in a modern matt black frame, although they could be removed from the frame if so required. The images measure 4.5cm by 12.5cm, 9cm by 9cm and 4.5cm by 10cm, and the frame overall is 42cm by 24.5cm.The last photo shows another engraving from the same volume, now sold, which we were able to reframe in a period Arts and Crafts frame for a client. The price includes UK postage. Please contact me for overseas postage rates.
