Arts and Crafts Cotswold School Owl Fire Screen
A striking and unusual fire screen, the centre decorated with a design of an owl in patinated brass, the edge decorated with silver yin yang lozenges covering the bolts. It has a carry handle at the top which is engraved " A. Dobree 1932". Presumably the maker and date of manufacture. I have no records for A Dobree, but presumably he was a gifted metal worker.
Certainly a one-off and very eye catching.
