Arts and Crafts Oak Liberty Sedley Oak Bookcase
An Arts and Crafts Oak Bookcase, of pegged construction, with trefoil cut outs and Moorish arches to the end supports. This style of bookcase was retailed by Liberty and Co and illustrated in their 1907 Catalogue as a 4 shelf variant. It was known as "The Sedley".
The bookcase is strong and sturdy with good solid shelves to support the books, pegged ends to the shelves and back strips that are screwed into the end supports to give extra stability.
I have two of these bookcases for sale currently. They match well for colour and are the same height albeit this one is about an inch and a half wider. -
