Arts and Crafts Oak Tortoise Man Coffee Table
A lovely Arts and Crafts Golden Oak Coffee Table. The table, with vase shape end supports, is carved with a tortoise to one foot. It is likely to date to the 1950's. I am unsure who produced the table as I have been informed that it is not produced by Bob Hunter (Wren Man), who is known to have used a tortoise motif on his early pieces. It is a lovely piece with good colour and pleasing lines, and such a practical size!
