Arts Nouveau Shapland and Petter Display Cabinet
A great Art Nouveau Shapland and Petter style mahogany display cabinet with tulip inlay to the top, curved upper shelf, turned capped uprights and square flared feet. Dating to circa 1910, it is extremely practical, with clear glazed door and end panels to ensure maximum light goes in to display your collection, and no leaded lights or coloured glass to obscure it. Wonderful bits of detail - the key handle is modelled as a peacock, and the single door fits snugly. It has a 3 line stamped number sequence to the rear - 747 above 2834 above 1, which is similar to other pieces of Shapland Furniture.
It measures 183.5cm (72") high, 43cm (17") deep at the foot and 120.5cm (47.5") wide at the foot.
It is presented in good condition, commensurate with age, with good colour, and the interior is similarly good for its age. Some of the photos were taken outdoors so there is some shadow present. Please ask for further photos as required.
