Bernard Instone Silver Enamel and MOP Brooch
A Bernard Instone (1891-1987) silver, enamel, marcasite and mother of pearl Art Deco brooch. By using a hexagonal mother of pearl base he really made the enamel stand out and this is quite rare compared to the usual bar brooches he produced. This is definitely an Art Deco example from 1920-30. In good original condition with hardly any signs of wear it is stamped "Sterling Silver" to the back bar and measures 41mm across.
