Birmingham Guild Arts Crafts Copper Potpourri Box
A wonderful and rare Arts & Crafts copper and brass potpourri box or container, dating to circa 1910-20, and firmly attributed to the Birmingham Guild. Whilst unmarked the stamped decoration is very similar to marked plates and dishes I have had in the past that were stamped for The Birmingham Guild Ltd and it is well-made with some lovely details like the shaping to the brass feet and the design of the pierced lid. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, there is a slight bend to the finial and the body has had a polish in the past whilst the lid is more deeply patinated but overall it displays very well. It measures 12cm tall to the finial and 16cm in diameter. I've never seen another one! The price includes UK postage.
