Carl Deffner Jugendstil Brass Box Glasgow Roses
A sweet little Carl Deffner Art Nouveau Jugendstil cylindrical brass box, dating to circa 1910, decorated with Roses in the Glasgow style. Whilst unmarked this is the identical design to a copper string box I had for sale last year that did bear his mark to the base. Offered in pretty good condition, commensurate with age, there are some knocks to one edge of the lid, two slight marks to one side and a shallow dent to the base. All are photographed and aren't detrimental to the overall look of the piece. It measures 11.2cm tall and 9cm in diameter. The price includes UK postage.
