DeLisle Map Southern India 1723 Malabar Coromandel
A framed and glazed hand coloured map of Southern India by French Cartographer Guillaume DeLisle, who was the first Royal Geographer to the King of France. The image depicts the Maldives in the West and the upper part of Sri Lanka to the South, whilst being full of detail around the coastline of India. It dates to circa 1723. It is presented in good condition with crisp colours (possibly later colouring), commensurate with age. It has been recently reframed. The inked margin measures 44cm ( 17 1/4" ) by 57cm ( 22" ), with the frame 63.5cm (25") by 75.5cm (29 3/4"). Price includes UK postage. Please contact me for overseas delivery
