Fine Hand Wrought Arts & Crafts Steel Club Fender

Fine Hand Wrought Arts & Crafts Steel Club Fender
This Arts and Crafts polished steel club fender, dating to circa 1890 to 1900, is a wonderful piece of fireside furniture. Of high quality it hand wrought with solid steel bars and open spirals. The seats have been reupholstered in tan leather which contrasts well with the polished steel. It is offered in good condition, commensurate with age, having been re polished, with only slight age related marking to the metal, but overall it is strong, stable and reassuringly heavy! It really is a stunning piece and my metalwork restorer, who re polished it, said it was the best fender he had worked on in 25 years. Externally it measures 142cm wide, 42cm deep and 53cm high at the seat. Internally it is 128.5cm wide and 35.5cm deep at the base, and 99cm wide between the seats.
