French Art Nouveau Brass Bombe Box Casket
A wonderful French Art Nouveau brass bombe from box or casket, dating to circa 1910-20, decorated with a central Green Man or Dionysus, surrounded by grapes and leaves. The box is a good size, the green man is repeated front and back on the lid and the interior is wood lined. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, there are some slight dings but it displays very well and the decoration is crisp. I'm not sure if it had a catch originally but not there now, and it never had a lock. It measures 20.5cm tall, 37.5cm wide and 19cm deep. The price includes UK postage.
