French Art Nouveau Brass Cabochon Jewellery Box
A vey pretty Art Nouveau brass jewellery box, dating to circa 1910-20, and probably French in manufacture. The lid and front are decorated with flowers set with assorted coloured paste cabochons, the interior is lined and it has a functioning lock and key. Offered in fair condition, commensurate with age, the cabochons are all there and in good condition but there is some splitting and a small loss to the embossed leaf as seen in photo five. This could be touched up or a small thin panel of brass inserted but I thought it looked rather nice as is! It measures 20.5cm wide, 14cm deep and 9cm tall. The price includes UK postage.
