Georgian Cut Steel Brooch Battle Axe Circa 1800
A late Georgian cut steel brooch, modelled as a medieval battle axe. An unusual design and very arresting! Most cut steel work was manufactured in Birmingham and close by and this, dating to 1780-1820, probably originated here. It is offered in good condition, commensurate with age, has the original pin and all its cut steel beads. It measures 90mm by 33mm. The price includes UK special delivery.
