German Arts & Crafts Steel Dog Candlestick Taschner
An Arts & Crafts steel candle stick, modelled as a dog, and dating to circa 1910. It is German in manufacture and, although similar to Goberg was likely designed by Ignatius Taschner (1871-1913), a sculptor and commercial artist from Munich. I have seen several cigar cutters modelled as Storks and Monkeys but never a dog candlestick! Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, it has been polished and looks great! It measures 21.5cm tall. The price includes UK postage.
