Glasgow School Arts & Crafts Plinth / Stool
A rather fine Scottish Glasgow Style Arts & Crafts quarter sawn oak display stand, plinth or stool, dating to circa 1910. A good solid piece, with great colour, it is a wonderful design and sturdy enough to display a sculpture or even support me! Offered in pretty good condition overall, commensurate with age, it has had a repair to the lower section of one side panel, as photographed, and there is some striping in the finish to the back ( in that one front panel is a slightly better finish than the other!). The repair was necessary because of old extinct woodworm attack to a section of sap wood. The piece measures 64cm high, with the top 31cm by 21cm and the base 33cm by 21cm.
