Glasgow Style Celtic Arts & Crafts Brass Planter
A great Glasgow Style Arts & Crafts brass rectangular planter, dating to circa 1900. Beautifully decorated to both sides with Celtic motifs depicting entwined birds and dragons there is a ring handle to each end and a removable tinned liner. The shape is typically Glasgow with the angled corner feet although I haven't seen this design before. It's certainly Celtic! A good size at 51cm wide, 24.5cm deep and 19cm tall, the aperture is 45cm by 17.5cm. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, there are some minor knocks and the liner has been drilled to the base some time in the past although the planter itself appears water-tight. The price includes UK postage.
