Good Arts & Crafts Copper Thistle Jug Yattendon

Good Arts & Crafts Copper Thistle Jug Yattendon
A good-sized Arts & Crafts copper jug, dating to circa 1900-1910, beautifully decorated with thistles. I have attributed this to the Yattendon School, West Berkshire, which was founded in 1890 by Elizabeth Waterhouse, the wife of Architect Alfred Waterhouse. The workmanship is similar, as is the handle. It is well-made and offered in good condition, commensurate with age, with a rich patina. The thumb piece is folded over but I'm unsure if this was intentional. It measures 28cm tall and 16cm diameter at the base. The price includes UK postage.
