Good Arts and Crafts Circular Carved Oak Motto Mirror
A beautifully carved large Arts and Crafts oak circular wall mirror, decorated with leaves and berries and centred at the top with a cartouche inscribed in latin "Vanitas" (Vanity). The carving is wonderfully naturalistic. It has a wonderful patination and is in good condition, commensurate with age. The original bevel mirror plate has some minor striping but not really noticeable and it still reflects well! It measures 61cm (24") diameter overall, with the mirror 38cm (15").
