Good Pair of Arts & Crafts Oak Bookcase Cabinets
A wonderful pair of Arts & Crafts bookcase cabinets, dating to around 1900, substantially constructed of quality quarter sawn oak. Probably by Shapland and Petter of Barnstaple, although unmarked, they are high quality. A proper mirror pair, with opposing lockable cabinet flanked by two adjustable shelves, and supported on two sledge and one plain foot. The copper lock plate handle is planished and retains a good colour. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, they have great colour and each measures 131cm max tall, 97.5cm wide and 31cm deep. The two adjustable shelves are 54cm wide and give a shelf height of 31cm, 23.5cm and 21cm depending on adjustment. The keys are replacements and there is a small repair to the back top of one side but this is not noticeable.
