Henry Holiday Dante Beatrice Pre-Raphaelite Print

Henry Holiday Dante Beatrice Pre-Raphaelite Print
A sepia art print, after Henry Holiday, of "The Meeting of Dante and Beatrice". It was published by Felix Rosenstiel, London, and dates to circa 1900. Henry Holiday was a member of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and travelled to Florence to research the picture, even making clay models of the buildings once back at his studio in London to ensure accuracy. Still in its original oak frame it is in fair condition, commensurate with age. I have had this image before, but never in this larger size. I have also listed a similar sized D. G. Rossetti of "Dante's Dream", which is similarly framed. The image measures 30.5cm ( 12") by 45.5cm (18"), whilst the frame measures 53.5cm (21") by 68.5cm (27"). Price includes UK postage.
