Hugh Wallis Arts & Crafts Rectangular Copper Tray 24"
A good large Hugh Wallis shaped rectangular copper tray, dating to circa 1920-40, with inlaid pewter grape and leaf decoration to the centre and wirework edge. Hugh Wallis had a workshop in Altringham, Cheshire, from 1900-1940 and produced copper worked with pewter inlays, predominantly floral studies. Retaining its original oxidised finish, lacquer and applied pewter this is a large tray - more than 2 feet wide, and looks great! In good condition, commensurate with age, there are some very minor markings to the finish but overall it displays very well. One of a collection of Hugh Wallis pieces I am currently listing. It measures 62cm wide and 26cm deep. Useful either as a tray or as a display piece, I can provide a hanging pad for wall mounting. The price includes Uk postage.
