Indian Carved Hardwood Occasional Table Deity
A beautifully carved Indian hardwood octagonal side or occasional table, dating to circa 1900, standing on four supports united by a base tray. The top has a central depiction of Shiva holding serpents within a foliate border and pierced apron. In good condition overall, commensurate with age, with crisp carving, there are slight edge losses, a small section missing from the apron and slight movement overall if you press hard but in usual use not noticeable - it is still usable as a table.
