John Pearson Art & Crafts Copper Drinks Tray 1890

John Pearson Art & Crafts Copper Drinks Tray 1890
A rare John Pearson Arts and Crafts copper and mahogany drinks tray or stand, decorated with typical interlinked motif and dating to circa 1890. Whilst unmarked it is definitely by his hand. I have sold a large mirror by him with similar decoration. The mahogany base is quite thick and I think that this was intended to sit on a table or sideboard and have decanters and bottles on it. I have enjoyed using it at home for exactly this purpose. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, the copper is in good condition with great original patination. The mahogany base has some minor markings but not particularly noticeable and certainly won't be once bottles or objects are placed on it. It measures 42cm (16 1/2") in diameter and is 6cm (2 1/2") high. The price includes UK mainland postage.
