Large Arts & Crafts Brass Planter c1880
A lovely early Arts & Crafts square brass planter or jardiniere, dating to circa 1880, and ideal for a conservatory or just as a log basket. Almost Aesthetic in style, with panels of repousse flowers to each side, it is offered in pretty good condition, commensurate with age. It has been polished but has retained its detail and looks great. These usually had a steel base and this has been replaced with a wood panel internally and a new riveted base underneath. Not noticeable when in use. It measures 39.5cm high and 34cm square, with an internal measurement of 30cm square. The price includes UK mainland postage.
