Large Arts & Crafts Oval Brass Wall Mirror c1920
This is a good large oval Art and Crafts wall mirror, dating to circa 1920. The brass frame, which was originally silvered, encloses a grey marbled border which contrasts well with the bevel glass within.The outer edge is stamped Pat Applied For. It is in reasonably good condition, commensurate with age. There is some silvering remaining on the edge of the brass, some ghosting and minor scratching to the original bevel mirror plate and a crack to the marbled border behind one of the end mounts as photographed. None of these minor issues take away from its impact as it is a great size and is quite unusual. As stated this was originally silvered but 100 years of cleaning has given it a uniform and pleasing brass finish. It measures 86.5cm by 61cm with the mirror plate 75.5cm by 50cm. Please note that the blurring on the mirror plate is editing rather than actual damage to the mirror.
