Late 19th Century German Jewellery Box
This is a pretty late 19th Century German Jewellery Box, the walnut veneered lid inlaid with mother of pearl flowers, with lift out tray (probably later). When purchased it contained a hand written note stating it had been swapped for a pair of shoes in Germany shortly after the end of the second world war. A nice, practical, object with a story attached.
