Liberty Arts & Crafts Copper Log Box
A wonderful Liberty Arts & Crafts copper log box, dating to circa 1900-1910, with excellent patina and colour. Illustrated in Liberty's Catalogues - see photo 6 for an advert from Daryl Bennett's Liberty Furniture Book - this is in very good condition for its age with good colour. Entirely cased in planished copper with hand made rivets and centred with three stylised trees. There are a couple of marks on the back but the front, sides and lid are in remarkable state of preservation, save for very slight rubbing to the trees. It measures 60cm wide plus handles ( max then 70cm), 42cm tall and 34cm deep. Given the clean state of the interior it could be used for all sorts of storage, from slippers to periodicals!. The price includes UK postage.
