Liberty Arts & Crafts Oak Sedley Bookcase c1900
A lovely Arts and Crafts 3 tier oak bookcase, of pegged construction with pierced trefoils to the uprights, as retailed by Liberty and Co as "The Sedley", and dating to around 1900, Whilst unmarked it is a three tier variant of the 4 tier that is photographed in Daryl Bennetts excellent book on Liberty's Furniture. A strong and practical piece, with solid shelves and book stops to each shelf, it is in good condition, commensurate with age, and has been stripped and re-polished and is now set for another 100 years of use. It measures 98cm max high, 57cm wide, (with an internal measurement of 48.5cm), and and 20cm deep, (with a internal depth of 18.4cm). The two shelves offer excellent practicality with a height of 27cm. Delivery likely £60.00 within England and Wales and £72.00 to lower Scotland. Books not included!
