Liberty Japan Octagonal Lamp Table Chrysanthemum
A Liberty Japanese carved beech lamp or side table, dating to circa 1905-1910, carved overall with Chrysanthemum. These tables were sold by Liberty & Co as part of their exotic furniture range and were sent as flat-packs as each leg slots into the top with the base shelf holding it all together. Crisply carved overall with chrysanthemum flowers and foliage it is an excellent size and has been glued, cleaned and rewaxed and is strong and stable. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, with age related patina it measures 71.5cm tall with the top 47.cm in diameter.
