Liberty Japanese Carved Hardwood Rectangular Table
A good Liberty Japanese rectangular occasional table, dating to circa 1910, with floral carved border to top. These tables were sold by Liberty & Co as part of their exotic furniture range and were sent as flat-packs as each leg slots into the top with the cross-stretchers holding it all together. Crisply carved overall with flowers and foliage it is an excellent size and has been glued, cleaned and rewaxed and is strong and stable. Offered in good condition, commensurate with age, there is a slight warp to the top but not noticeable in use. It measures 66.5cm tall with the top 44.5cm by 60.5cm.
